Bronx, N.Y. – Fordham University guard Nick Honor (Orlando, Fla./Lake Highland) was named Atlantic 10 Men's Basketball Rookie of the Week it was announced by the league office today. It is the second straight weekly honor for the freshman.
 
In the Rams' lone game this past week, a 77-46 win over Alabama A&M in the Rose Hill Gym on Sunday, Honor scored a game-high 17 points, shooting 7-for-13 from the field and 3-for-4 from behind the arc, while also grabbing five rebounds, dishing out four assists and recording one steal.
 
On the season, Honor is averaging a team-best 18.5 ppg, ranking him fifth in the Atlantic 10, 3.2 rpg and 3.3 apg, 12th best in the conference. He is shooting 48.2 percent from the field (40-83) and 94.1 percent from the free throw line (16-17), tops among all A-10 players.
 
The Rams return to action on Saturday, December 1, as they travel across the Bronx to take on Manhattan College in the annual Battle of the Bronx at 7:00 p.m.
