Bronx, N.Y. – Fordham University guard Nick Honor (Orlando, Fla./Lake Highland) was named Atlantic 10 Men's Basketball Rookie of the Week it was announced by the league office today. It is the first weekly honor for the freshman.
 
In three games this past weekend, Honor averaged 20.7 ppg, 3.3 rpg, and 3.3 apg as the Rams captured the Johnny Bach Classic title with wins over FIU, Youngstown State and Columbia.
 
Honor opened the weekend by scoring a season-high 28 points, shooting 9-for-16 from the field, and grabbing four rebounds in an 83-77 win over FIU on Friday. He then netted 17 points to go with five assists and five rebounds in a 67-61 win over Youngstown State on Saturday and closed out the weekend with 17 points and five helpers in a 70-69 victory over Columbia.
 
On the season, Honor is averaging 18.8 ppg, seventh in the Atlantic 10, 2.8 rpg and 3.2 apg. He is shooting 47.1 percent from the field (33-70) and 94.1 percent from the free throw line (16-17).
 
The Rams return to action on Sunday, November 25, as they host Alabama A&M University in the Rose Hill Gym at 2:00 p.m.
