Newport News, Va. – (October 29, 2018) – The Atlantic 10 Conference announced its men's soccer weekly awards on Monday with Fordham senior forward
Janos Loebe (Kierspe, Germany) being named Co-Offensive Player of the Week. He shares the honor with St. Bonaventure's Kosi Nwafornso.
For Loebe, it is his second weekly award this season, the eighth of his career, and sixth Offensive Player of the Week award.
Loebe was the focal point of the Rams' 3-0 win at La Salle on Saturday, which clinched a berth in this year's Atlantic 10 Championship. He recorded his second five-point game of the season, netting two goals and an assist against the Explorers, which gave him seven goals and 11 assists on the year for 25 points.
He has now set career-highs in both assists and points, while tying his career-high in goals. With the five-point day, Loebe also moved into fourth place on the Rams' career points list with 83, passing Ifeatu Oute (78 – 1970-72) and Brian Borrhello (82 – 1999-2002).
Loebe and the rest of the men's soccer team now look forward to the regular season finale on Wednesday, October 31
st, when the Rams host Dayton for Senior Night at Jack Coffey Field, beginning at 7:00 PM.
