SERIES HISTORY: This will be the 18
th all-time meeting between Fordham and George Washington with the Colonials holding a 9-5-3 edge in the series, but it is easy to forget those numbers due to quirks in the conference schedule. The two teams have only face each other once since 2013, which was a scoreless draw in 2016, while George Washington's last visit to Jack Coffey Field came in 2009.
On Saturday, it will be the third all-time meeting between Fordham and Davidson. The Rams have won the two prior meetings in 2015 (3-0 at Davidson) and 2016 (3-2 in overtime at Fordham).
CANCER AWARENESS WEEK: New York Presbyterian Lawrence Hospital's Cancer Center, located in Bronxville, is proud to partner with Fordham Athletics this year in the fight against cancer. With the NYP Lawrence Hospital Cancer Center team, patients receive the benefits of personalized care in their own community setting, near home and family, with the support and expertise of a major academic medical center. The Center offers cancer prevention, screening, treatment including access to clinical trials, support, and education.
NYP Lawrence Hospital opened its state-of-the-art cancer facility in October 2016 and is dedicated to addressing both the physical and emotional wellbeing of each patient. This unique under-one-roof philosophy affords patients true convenience by offering medical, surgical, and radiation oncology all in one location, and allows for ease of collaboration and communication among physicians. Many of the specialists at NYP Lawrence are members of the Herbert Irving Comprehensive Cancer Center at NewYork- Presbyterian/Columbia University Irving Medical Center —one of only three National Cancer Institute-Designated Comprehensive Cancer Centers in New York state.

LAST TIME OUT: UMass' DeAndrae Brown netted his eighth goal of the season, while Marvyn Dorchin made six saves, as the Minutemen topped the Fordham Rams, 1-0, in men's soccer action on Saturday at Jack Coffey Field.

Janos Loebe corner kick in the third minute,
Joergen Oland had a header toward goal which was stopped, while in the 15
th minute,
Vincenzo Zuccala had a diving header attempt at the UMass net, which again was denied by UMass goalkeeper Marvyn Dorchin.
Neither team could crack the scoreboard until the 54
th minute, when the Minutemen broke through with the only goal of the game. After a cross in, Jack Fulton had his shot blocked in front, but the ball came right to DeAndrae Brown for the rebound goal from seven yards out. It was his eighth of the year.
Fordham would have four shots on goal the rest of the game, trying to find the equalizer, but all four were stopped by Dorchin for the 1-0 shutout.
