Nick LaMarca Named Athletic Facilities and Events Manager at Fordham

Former American University Athletics Operations Manager joins Rams

Bronx, N.Y. – Nick LaMarca, who served as the Athletics Operations Manager at American University for the past year, was named Athletic Facilities and Events Manager at Fordham University it was announced today.
 
At Fordham, LaMarca will be responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of all athletic facilities. He will also be in charge of coordinating a logistics plan for each event and for all day-to-day operations and will be the coordinator for all home athletic events.
 
LaMarca comes to Fordham after spending the 2016-2017 season at American University where he served as the Athletics Operations Manager. His duties included managing and executing over 100 events a year consisting of varsity athletic contests, facility rentals, meetings, and practices and serving as the Manager and Visiting Team/Officials Liaison for all home Women's Basketball and Field Hockey games, including postseason championships. He also was responsible for maintenance oversight and event operations of the William I. Jacobs Recreation Complex.
 
Prior to his stint in Washington, D.C., LaMarca was an Athletics Facilities and Operations Intern at Boston College in 2015-2016 here he scheduled and supervised 30 undergraduate work-study students and part-time employees for designated home games and was the Primary Event Manager and Visiting Team Liaison for all home Men's Tennis matches and Secondary Event Manager and Visiting Team Liaison for all home Football, Field hockey, Volleyball, Men and Women's, Basketball, and Softball games. While at BC he also assisted in the planning and execution of the 2016 Cross Country Northeast Regional and the 2016 ACC Indoor Track & Field Championships.
 
A 2014 graduate of the University of Massachusetts where he earned a degree in Sport Management, LaMarca served as an undergraduate intern for the Minutemen football team in 2011-2012. He went on to earn a Master's degree in Educational Leadership from Bloomsburg University in 2015 where he also served as a graduate assistant with the Athletics Operations Office.
