Morgantown, W.V. – The Fordham University men's basketball Rams continue their 2017-2018 season, the 115th season of varsity basketball at Rose Hill, by traveling to Morgantown, W.V., to face the #10 West Virginia University Mountaineers in the WVU Coliseum on Saturday, December 23, at 12:00 p.m.

Fordham enters the game with a 5-6 record after a 79-69 win over Florida A&M in the Rose Hill Gym on Thursday night while West Virginia 10-1 after a 77-38 win over Coppin State in Morgantown on Wednesday night.
Saturday afternoon's contest will be the third meeting between Fordham and West Virginia on the hardwood. The Mountaineers took the first two meetings, including a 61-39 win on December 23, 1949, in Morgantown in the most recent matchup.

• Freshman guard/forward
Ivan Raut was named Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week for the week of December 11-17. In a 75-63 loss at Rutgers on December 12,
Raut led all scorers with 19 points, shooting 6-for-12 from the field, including 5-for-10 from behind the arc and he connected on a pair of four-point plays.
• Senior guard
Will Tavares, who leads the Rams in scoring (16.6 ppg), has scored in double figures in each of the eleven games this year.
Joseph Chartouny
• Junior guard
Joseph Chartouny leads the NCAA this year in steals/game with 3.73.
• Chartouny has 191 career steals, good for sixth on the Fordham all-time list.
• Chartouny has 352 career helpers, ninth-best in school history.
• The 2017-2018 Rams are second the Atlantic 10 in scoring defense (65.2) and are third in the league in three-point field goal percentage defense (.302).
• Fordham also leads the league and is fifth in the NCAA in steals with 122 (11.1/game).
• Fordham head coach
Jeff Neubauer is no stranger to West Virginia, serving as the top assistant coach for the Mountaineers from 2002-2005 under head coach John Beilein. He was a member of the 2004-2005 team that advanced to the Elite Eight and finished ranked 12th in the country.
• The Rams are 3-8 all-time against schools currently in the Big 12 Conference.
• Fordham's last win over a Big 12 school was a 60-48 win over Texas at the Meadowlands on February 21, 1987.
• The Rams most recent game against a Big 12 team was a loss at Missouri in 2007.
