Washington, D.C. – After a thrilling homecoming win over Columbia, the Fordham men's soccer team turns the page to conference action this weekend, as the Rams travel to our nation's capital to face the George Washington Colonial on Saturday at 2:00 PM.
Fordham (3-3-2) got back to the .500 mark in its last game, defeating Columbia, 2-1, in a double overtime thriller. The game saw sophomore
Janos Loebe net his second straight three-point game (1 goal & 1 assist), while
Eric Ohlendorf netted the game-winning goal with 10.5 seconds left. George Washington (5-2-3) begins defense of its regular season A-10 title, and brings a three-match win streak into Saturday. The Colonials are led by Christian Lawal and Dylan Lightbourn with three goals each, while Thor Arne Höfs has a 0.61 goals against average and five shutouts in goal.

SERIES HISTORY: This will be the 17
th meeting between Fordham and George Washington since the Rams joined the Atlantic 10 in 1995, and the first since 2013. The Colonials holds a 9-5-2 edge in the series, but Fordham has won three of the last four meetings (2009, 2010, and 2012)
LAST TIME OUT: Being the lead event of Homecoming Weekend, the Fordham men's soccer team wanted to make an impression on the crowd at Jack Coffey Field, comprised of alumni, family, friends and Fordham students. Fordham junior
Eric Ohlendorf made the game a memorable one for those in attendance, as he scored with 10.5 seconds left in the second overtime period to give the Rams a 2-1 victory over the Columbia Lions on Friday night.

Columbia started the match strong, netting the opening goal in the 12
th minute of action. Following a foul, John Denis lined up a free kick from 21 yards out, and scored just inside the right post for his first goal of the season.
The score remained in favor of the Lions until the opening minutes of the second half, when Fordham tied the game in one. In the 50
th minute, Columbia was called for a handball on the right side, 21 yards from goal.
Janos Loebe lined up a free kick, and drilled a low liner into the lower left corner of goal for his second marker of the season.
Neither team could find the back of the goal for the rest of regulation and through the first overtime session. In the second session, the Rams cashed in on a Columbia miscue to send the fans home happy. With under 20 seconds left, Loebe took a long shot attempt from the near sideline, that Columbia goalkeeper Zach Adler stopped. However, Adler fumbled the ball right to Fordham's
Eric Ohlendorf, who cashed in from just inside the six-yard box for his second goal of the season.
In net,
Rashid Nuhu earned the win, making five saves, while Adler had four stops for the Lions.

th, when the Rams play at Dayton, beginning at 7:00 PM, before returning home for an October 9
th match versus Massachusetts at Jack Coffey Field.
