Bronx, N.Y. – Ken Henderson, the summer tennis director at the Silver Gull and Breezy Surf Clubs, was named assistant women's tennis coach at Fordham University, it was announced today.
For the last two summers, Henderson served as the summer tennis director at the Silver Gull and Breezy Surf Clubs in Breezy Point, N.Y. where he initiated the Juniors program and started adult beginner to advanced clinics.
Prior to his stint at Silver Gull and Breezy Surf, Henderson served as the substitute pro in Palm Beach and Delray, Florida, for George Kosloff, an Elite Professional with the USPTA, in 2014-2015. He also worked at the Topspin Tennis Academy in Jersey City, N.J., from 2005-2014, starting and directing a successful Junior program of over 130 children, ages 3-15. Henderson also started and directed an Adult program at Topspin Tennis Academy.
Henderson brings coaching experience to Fordham, having served as a head coach at Collegiate School in Manhattan from 1996-1999.
