For their stellar performances at the Atlantic 10 Championship, Fordham swimmers
Megan Polaha and
Steve Sholdra distinguished themselves as the Zipcar Performers of the Month for the month of February.
Polaha earned All-Atlantic 10 honors three times at the 2016 Atlantic 10 Championship, winning two events and finishing second in a third event. She won the 200 individual medley (2:00.85) and 200 butterfly (1:58.46) events, while grabbing second in the 400 individual medley (4:16.55), all in school record and NCAA "B" cut times. Her time in the 200 butterfly was also an Atlantic 10 conference record.
Sholdra was a dual event winner at the Atlantic 10 Championship, winning the 400 individual medley (3:51.75) and 200 butterfly (1:47.10) events in school record and NCAA "B" cut times. His time in the 200 butterfly was also the Atlantic 10 record. In addition to his two wins, he placed third in the 500 freestyle in school record time of 4:26.27.
This is the second performer of the month award for both swimmers this season.
