While Fordham celebrates Homecoming weekend at the Rose Hill Campus, Fordham head coach
Jim McElderry and men's soccer team will be a part of a slightly different homecoming on Saturday at Fairfield, as it will be McElderry's first visit to his alma mater as an opposing coach.
McElderry is a 1993 graduate of Fairfield University, where he starred on the men's soccer team. He still ranks among Stags' top scorers in career points (eighth with 43) and in career goals (seventh with 17) and was inducted into the Fairfield Athletics Hall of Fame in 1998. He then served as an assistant coach at Fairfield from 1993 to 2002 before taking the head coaching job at Fordham.
