Fordham's Joseph Runco and Joseph DeVito both homered, while Brett Kennedy threw his third career complete game, as the Rams posted a 6-2 win over the George Washington Colonials at Tucker Field at Barcroft Park in Arlington, Virginia.

With the win, Fordham improved to 15-21 overall, 6-5 in the Atlantic 10, while the Colonials fell to 22-12, 9-4 in the league.

George Washington opened the scoring with single runs in the first and second innings for a 2-0 lead.  In the first, the Colonials got their run on a first and third steal, while the second saw a sacrifice fly by Kevin Mahala.

The score stayed at 2-0 until the fifth, when the Rams used the long ball to knot the game at two.  Jason Lundy reached second on a single and a wild pitch, which was followed by a two-run home run to left center by Joseph Runco, the first of his career.

Fordham then took a 3-2 edge in the sixth, as Charles Galiano led off with a single and moved to second on a ground out.  After a wild pitch, Ian Edmiston singled to right center to score Galiano.

Junior Brett Kennedy struck out seven in
the complete game win on Saturday.

The Rams added to the lead in the ninth, when Joseph DeVito hit a solo home run to left, his first of the season.  Later in the inning, Matthew Kozuch came through with a two-run single to the right side, scoring Lundy and Runco from third and second, respectively.

Those insurance runs were enough for Fordham starter Brett Kennedy, as he settled down after the first two innings.  He earned the complete game win to record his third victory of the year, allowing two runs on six hits with seven strikeouts.

At the plate, Lundy had his first career four-hit game, going 4-for-4 with two runs scored and a stolen base.  Runco was 2-for-3 with two runs scored, a home run, and two RBI, while Edmiston and Galiano each had a pair of hits.

The same two teams will conclude their three-game series on Sunday with a noon contest.
