Siena's Taylor Ahearn threw six innings of four-hit ball, while Dan Swain scored three runs, as the Saints overcame seven errors and snapped the Fordham Rams' three-game win streak on Wednesday by a score of 7-3 at Siena Field in Loudonville, N.Y.

The loss moves Fordham to 13-21 on the year, while Siena improved to 9-19.

Siena got on the scoreboard first, netting four runs in the first inning off Fordham starter
David Manasek. The Saints picked up runs on an RBI-double by Jordan Bishop, a bases loaded hit by pitch, a sacrifice fly and an RBI-single from Alex Tuccio.

The Rams cut the lead in half in the second, scoring a pair of runs on two Siena errors.Â
Jordan Gajdos opened the inning by reaching on a dropped pop up by the first baseman.Â
Joseph DeVito then singled to center, which the centerfield muffed, allowing Gajdos to come around and score from first base with DeVito moving to second. After a sacrifice bunt by
Pat Gardner, DeVito scored on a
Tim O'Connor ground out.

Siena added to their lead with single runs in the third and fourth innings for a 6-2 lead. The Saints got an RBI-single from Dan Lowndes in the third and a sacrifice fly by Justin Esquerra in the fourth.

Fordham tried to rally from the four-run deficit in the eighth. With one out,
Ryan McNally was hit by a pitch, which was followed by a fielder's choice that the shortstop mishandled, allowing runners to remain at first and second. DeVito was then hit by a pitch to load the bases. Gardner followed with an RBI-single to score McNally from third to make it, 6-3. After a pitching change, Siena got out of the inning, as reliever Kyano Cummings got pinch-hitter
Ian Edmiston to foul out, while
Joseph Runco struck out swinging.

After the Saints picked up an insurance run in the bottom of the inning, Cummings would hold down the victory, recording his fourth save of the season, as he held the Rams without a hit for 1.2 innings of work. Taylor Ahearn improved to 2-2 on the year, as he allowed two unearned runs on four hits with four strikeouts over six innings.

Manasek took the loss for Fordham, falling to 1-3, allowing four runs on three hits in one inning of work. A total of six Fordham pitchers were used in the game, including
