Atlantic 10 Releases Women’s Basketball Conference Schedule

Defending Atlantic 10 Champion Rams To Have Four Nationally Televised Games

Printable Schedule

The conference schedule for the defending Atlantic 10 women's basketball champion Fordham Rams was released on Thursday by the league office, and will feature four nationally televised games on either CBS Sports Network or NBC Sports Network.

Between non-conference and league play, Fordham will now face a total of 12 postseason teams from a year ago.

"Our four nationally televised games mark the most in our program's history, and we feel the Atlantic 10 is the premier basketball conference and we are excited about embracing the outstanding challenges ahead of us," said Fordham head coach Stephanie Gaitley.

The Rams will kick-off defense of their crown on Sunday, January 4th, when Fordham hosts Richmond at the Rose Hill Gym in a game televised on the CBS Sports Network, beginning at 3:30 PM.

"We are excited about kicking off our A-10 season and defending our title at home versus a very strong Richmond team on national television," said Gaitley.

After a road trip to La Salle on January 8th, Fordham will have its second nationally televised game on Sunday, January 11th, as the Rams travel to St. Bonaventure in a re-match of last year's Atlantic 10 semi-final.  The game will be broadcast from the Reilly Center on the NBC Sports Network, starting at 4:00 PM.

The Rams will wait only four days for their next national television appearance, when Fordham hosts Saint Joseph's at the Rose Hill Gym on Thursday, January 15th.  That contest will be on the CBS Sports Network at 7:00 PM.

The game against Saint Joseph's begins a stretch of three consecutive home games for the Rams, which also includes match-ups with VCU on January 18th and Massachusetts on January 21st.

Fordham will have its final regular season televised game on Saturday, January 24th, when the Rams head to Saint Louis for a contest with the Billikens on the CBS Sports Network.  That game time has yet to be finalized.

The rest of Fordham's conference schedule features five road contests in the final nine games, beginning with the Rams' first conference game at Davidson on January 28th.  The other road games include a re-match at Saint Joseph's on February 8th, a contest at Rhode Island on February 15th, and a two-game stretch in the Washington, D.C. area with games at George Washington on February 21st and George Mason on February 25th.

Fordham's final four home games are highlighted by a re-match of last year's Atlantic 10 Championship game between the Rams and the Dayton Flyers on Wednesday, February 18th.  Fordham will also host Duquesne on January 31st, St. Bonaventure on February 5th, and Davidson in the regular season finale on March 1st.

The Rams will then look to defend their Atlantic 10 crown at the 2015 Atlantic 10 Championship, held at the Richmond Coliseum from March 4th through 8th.
