Printable ScheduleThe conference schedule for the defending Atlantic 10 women's basketball champion Fordham Rams was released on Thursday by the league office, and will feature four nationally televised games on either CBS Sports Network or NBC Sports Network.
Between non-conference and league play, Fordham will now face a total of 12 postseason teams from a year ago.
"Our four nationally televised games mark the most in our program's history, and we feel the Atlantic 10 is the premier basketball conference and we are excited about embracing the outstanding challenges ahead of us," said Fordham head coach
Stephanie Gaitley.
The Rams will kick-off defense of their crown on Sunday, January 4
th, when Fordham hosts Richmond at the Rose Hill Gym in a game televised on the CBS Sports Network, beginning at 3:30 PM.
"We are excited about kicking off our A-10 season and defending our title at home versus a very strong Richmond team on national television," said Gaitley.
After a road trip to La Salle on January 8
th, Fordham will have its second nationally televised game on Sunday, January 11
th, as the Rams travel to St. Bonaventure in a re-match of last year's Atlantic 10 semi-final. The game will be broadcast from the Reilly Center on the NBC Sports Network, starting at 4:00 PM.
The Rams will wait only four days for their next national television appearance, when Fordham hosts Saint Joseph's at the Rose Hill Gym on Thursday, January 15
th. That contest will be on the CBS Sports Network at 7:00 PM.
The game against Saint Joseph's begins a stretch of three consecutive home games for the Rams, which also includes match-ups with VCU on January 18
th and Massachusetts on January 21
st.
Fordham will have its final regular season televised game on Saturday, January 24
th, when the Rams head to Saint Louis for a contest with the Billikens on the CBS Sports Network. That game time has yet to be finalized.
The rest of Fordham's conference schedule features five road contests in the final nine games, beginning with the Rams' first conference game at Davidson on January 28
th. The other road games include a re-match at Saint Joseph's on February 8
th, a contest at Rhode Island on February 15
th, and a two-game stretch in the Washington, D.C. area with games at George Washington on February 21
st and George Mason on February 25
th.
Fordham's final four home games are highlighted by a re-match of last year's Atlantic 10 Championship game between the Rams and the Dayton Flyers on Wednesday, February 18
th. Fordham will also host Duquesne on January 31
st, St. Bonaventure on February 5
th, and Davidson in the regular season finale on March 1
st.
The Rams will then look to defend their Atlantic 10 crown at the 2015 Atlantic 10 Championship, held at the Richmond Coliseum from March 4
th through 8
th.
