The defending Atlantic 10 Women's Basketball Champions have learned against whom they will face off in their quest to hold on to the conference crown, as the league released its schedule pairings on Monday.
 
Exact dates and times for the games will be released as the season draws closer.
 
"The Atlantic 10 is a premier basketball conference and we continue to grow and improve," said Fordham Head Coach Stephanie Gaitley.  "We are excited about the rivalries we have developed and feel this year's schedule is extremely challenging. We are proud to be the defending champions and look forward to keeping Fordham Women's Basketball in the national spotlight."
 
For the second consecutive year, the Atlantic 10 will host a 16-game conference slate for women's basketball, with three home-and-home series, five road games and five home tilts.
 
The three Atlantic 10 teams that the Rams will play twice in 2014-15 are Davidson, St. Bonaventure and Saint Joseph's.  In scheduling a pair of games between the Rams and Hawks, the conference will foster a bit of a budding rivalry;  over the past two seasons, all three contests between Fordham and Saint Joe's have been thrillers with significant postseason implications. 
 
The Rams will then face the remaining ten Atlantic 10 opponents only once, with five contests coming on the road and five taking place in the Rose Hill Gym.  Within the friendly confines of Division I's longest-tenured arena, the Rams will play host to Dayton, Duquesne, Richmond, UMass and VCU.  On the road, the Rams will look to knock off George Mason, George Washington, La Salle, Rhode Island and Saint Louis.
 
Following the conclusion of the conference schedule, the Atlantic 10 will once again hold its women's basketball championship at the Richmond Coliseum in Richmond, Va.
