Rams Tour Olympic Stadium and Notre Dame Basilica

Rams Take on McGill Tonight at 7 PM

Photo Gallery

Just a few hours before the third game of their Canadian Tour, the Rams took some time out to explore more of Montreal, as the team visited Olympic Stadium and toured Notre Dame Basilica.

The Rams were unable to get inside the stadium, but were able to pose for pictures outside the site of the 1976 Summer Olympics and former home of the Montreal Expos.

After the stadium, the Rams went back toward Old Montreal, where Notre Dame Basilica is located.  A towering physical structure on the outside, the church features the most ornately decorated nave on the inside, a truly breathtaking sight that is unrivaled anywhere else in North America.

When the team returned to the hotel, FordhamSports.com caught up with senior guard Bryan Smith.

Brian, you mentioned before the trip that this is your first time out of the country.  How are you enjoying Montreal so far?
I'm loving it.  We've visited some pretty good sights, took a lot of pictures to show my family and everything.  I'm really enjoying it though.

I've noticed the morale's been pretty high on this trip.  What do you think a trip like this does for team bonding?
It's perfect.  It builds team chemistry.  Everybody's always together.  We can't go anywhere without each other, so it's perfect for everybody getting to know each other and everything.

On the basketball side of things, how do you like the way the team's been looking so far?
It's looking great.  Everybody's been playing well.  We've been playing against good competition up here and everybody's been performing well, especially the freshmen.  They're playing very well.

Speaking of the freshmen, what have you seen out of Eric Paschall so far on this trip?
Well he's very competitive.  He's very athletic, everybody knows that, but he's also very competitive, never gives up on a play.
