Bronx, N.Y. (August 20, 2014) – Former Fordham University men's basketball standout
Kervin Bristol has signed to play professionally with the Krasnie Krilya Samara (VTB) team in Russia.

The 26-year old center most recently played at MBC Mykolaiv in Ukrainian Superleague. In 15 games he recorded 12.7 ppg and led the team with 12.4 rpg as well as blocking 2.5 per game. He was selected Eurobasket.com All-Ukrainian Superleague Import Player of the Year, Eurobasket.com All-Ukrainian Superleague Defensive Player of the Year and Forward of the Year.
Following graduation, Bristol played at Hopsi Polzela (Telemach League) in Slovenia where he averaged 11.4 ppg, a team-high 10.9 rpg and 2.4 bpg. He then moved on to
Istanbulspor (TB2L) in Turkish league. In 19 games, he averaged 10.1 ppg, 12.2 rpg (third best in the league) and 1.6 bpg.
Bristol finished his senior season at Fordham in 2012, averaging 5.4 ppg and 8.0 rpg, second best in the team, and he led the Rams with 69 blocks, the seventh best single-season total in school history. He was the main reason that the Rams finished the year second in the Atlantic 10 and tenth the NCAA in blocked shots, averaging 5.7 blocks/game. Fordham swatted 163 shots that winter, the second best single-season total in school history, blocking eleven shots in a game three times.

Over his two-year career, Bristol recorded 122 blocks, good for fourth on the Fordham career blocks list.
