BRONX, N.Y.-Â On a sunny Sunday afternoon in the Bronx, Head Coach
Stephanie Gaitley and Associate Head Coach
Angelika Szumilo became the latest members of the women's basketball community to take part in the #Chillin4Charity Challenge, raising money for the Kay Yow Foundation.
Â
Started two weeks ago by Arizona Women's Basketball, the challenge calls for members of the women's basketball community to take an ice water bath from their team and then nominate another coach or player to do the same. If you're nominated and fail to do so, you must make a contribution to the Kay Yow Fund depending on your role with the team (head coaches: $250, assistant coaches: $100, players: five hours of community service). If you're nominated and complete the challenge, then the person that originally nominated you owes $50 to the Kay Yow Found.
Â
Coaching staffs and teams from around the country have taken part in the challenge, including defending national champion Connecticut, Baylor, UCLA and Notre Dame.
