Baseball Shuts Out La Salle

Donadio Records First Career Four-Hit Game, While Kennedy Registers Career-High 10 Strikeouts

Mark Donadio was 4-for-5 with three RBI on Saturday aginst La Salle.

capped the scoring with a sacrifice fly to center, scoring Donadio from third.
 
Fordham tacked on two more runs in the seventh, making it a 10-0 score, on RBI-singles from Donadio and Joseph DeVito.
 
The Rams finished the scoring with three runs in in the eighth, highlighted by a two-run single by Ryan Mahoney and an RBI-fielder's choice by Ryan Carroll.
 
The 13-run day on offense was more than enough for the Fordham pitching duo of Brett Kennedy and Makay Redd, who combined for the six-hit shutout.  Kennedy went the first seven innings, allowing six hits with no walks and struck out a career-high ten batters.  Redd was very effective out of the bullpen, giving up only a walk in his two innings of relief with two strikeouts.
 
At the plate, Donadio notched his first career four-hit game, going 4-for-5 with a double, two runs scored, and three RBI, while McCunney was 2-for-4 with two doubles and two RBI.  Runco was also 2-for-4 with a double, two runs scored, and an RBI with Galiano scoring three runs and driving in two.
 
The same two teams will play the series finale on Sunday at noon.
