Branden Frazier (Brooklyn, N.Y./Bishop Loughlin) will compete in the Gotham Hoops Invitational, to be held
Sunday, April 13, at Farmingdale (N.Y.) State College. The inaugural event will serve as a showcase for the top men's college basketball seniors in the Tri-State area.
Frazier concluded his collegiate career with 1,642 points, placing him ninth on the Fordham career-scoring list. He also closed out his career with 495 assists, second all time in school history, and with 186 career three-pointers, sixth on the Fordham career list.
Frazier started all 31 games this past season, averaging a team-high 18.2 ppg, third best in the Atlantic 10, and 5.1 rpg. He scored in double figures 27 times, including posting 20 or more points on 17 occasions. In his collegiate finale, a second round A-10 tournament matchup with the Dayton Flyers, Frazier scored a game-high 30 points, his fourth 30-point game of the year. He also registered a team-best 133 assists, fifth most in the conference.
The Invitational will be played before NBA and international coaches and scouts, providing an opportunity for these seniors to pursue professional basketball careers. The evening double-header will be open to the public.
Represented conferences include the American, Atlantic 10, Big East, Colonial, Metro Atlantic and Northeast.
