Baseball Falls to URI in Series Finale

Rhode Island increased its lead to 2-0 in the bottom of the frame, as the Rams got three straight singles with two outs, the last from Nazarko, which scored Mike Sherburne.
 
DiStasio (2-1) did the rest, as he struck out a career-high 10 batters for his first career complete game and first shutout.
 
Swatek (3-2) was the hard luck loser as he gave up just two runs on six hits with seven strikeouts over seven innings of work.  Joseph Serrapica tossed a scoreless eighth inning.
 
The Fordham baseball team will next be in action on Tuesday, April 8^th, when the Rams travel to Lakewood, N.J. for a game against the Rutgers Scarlet Knights with game time set for 6:00 PM.  The game will be played at First Energy Park, home of the Lakewood Blueclaws, the Single-A affiliate of the Philadelphia Phillies.
