Box Score
Trailing 3-0 after the first inning, the Fordham baseball team rallied for four runs in the second inning, and tacked on three more later in the game, as the Rams won the rubber game against the Delaware Blue Hens, 7-5, at the Harford CC Sports Complex in Bel Air, Maryland.

The win moves Fordham to 3-3 on the season, while Delaware fell to 4-6 overall.

After Delaware posted three runs in the bottom of the first inning, Fordham responded right away with a four-spot in the second.  Ryan McNally led off with a single to left and stole second.  Matthew Kozuch and Luke Stampfl each drew a walk to load the bases with one out.  Jason Lundy plated the first run with an infield single to shortstop, where the throw would go wild, allowing a second run to cross the plate.

Tim O'Connor followed with a base-hit to left, scoring Stampfl from third and moving Lundy to third, tying the game at three.  Lundy then scored on a ground out by Joseph Runco to put Fordham in the lead 4-3.

The Rams added to their lead in the fourth and sixth innings.  In the fourth, Runco connected for a two-out double, which brought home Lundy from first base.  Tim Swatek was intentionally walk to bring up Charles Galiano, who delivered an RBI-single to left, scoring Runco for a 6-3 lead.

Later in the sixth inning, Swatek reached base on an infield single with two outs, and scored on a double by Galiano.

The Blue Hens closed the gap to 7-4 with a single run in the seventh and threatened to tie the game in the eighth.  With a run already in to make it 7-5, Delaware loaded the bases with two outs, which brought on Fordham reliever Greg Weissert.  Weissert would induce a comebacker right to the pitcher's mound for the final out of the frame, keeping Fordham ahead by two.

Delaware would again get the tying run to the plate in the ninth, but after a leadoff double, Weissert retired the next three batters in order to record his second save of the weekend.

For Fordham, Swatek (1-1) earned his first win as a starter, allowing two earned runs on eight hits with four strikeouts over five innings of work.  Cody Johnson pitched 2 1/3 innings of relief, followed by Jonathan Reich (0.1 IP, 1 H) and Weissert (1.1 IP, 1 K).

At the plate, Galiano and Runco were both 2-for-5 with a double and two RBI, while Rob McCunney also had a pair of hits to go with a stolen base.  Lundy also finished 1-for-2 with a pair of runs scored and two walks.

The Fordham baseball team's next scheduled game is slated for Tuesday, March 4th, at Wagner College.
