Fordham Game Notes
After a tough road swing at VCU and Dayton, the Rams return to the Rose Hill Gym on Saturday afternoon, playing host to the UMass Minutewomen at 2 PM.
SERIES HISTORY: The Rams have enjoyed a bit of recent success in their series history against the Minutewomen, entering Saturday's contest on a four game winning streak against their opponent's from Amherst. Â Most recently, the Rams downed UMass less than a month ago in the Mullins Center, topping the Minutewomen 73-64. Â In that game,
Abigail Corning scored 20 points to give her an even 1,000 for her career.
Historically, the Rose Hill Gym has also been a significant factor for the Rams in their contests against UMass. Â Fordham holds a 9-8 record against the Minutewomen when the games are played in the friendly confines of Division I's oldest arena, but the Rams are 4-13 when playing games in Amherst.
SCOUTING UMASS: Â The Minutewomen come into the Rose Hill Gym on a serious slide, having lost ten in a row to fall to 3-17 on the year, 0-6 in the Atlantic 10.
On the season, UMass is getting outscored by their opponents at an average rate of 18 points per game, while losing its conference tilts by 28 points per
outing. Â
Only one Minutewoman is averaging in double figures on the year, as Kim Pierre-Louis leads the team with 12.9 points per game. Â
