Fordham Men's Soccer Announces 2013 Schedule

May 31, 2013 - Bronx, N.Y. - The Fordham men's soccer team announced its 2013 schedule today, which will feature nine non-conference games and eight Atlantic 10 contests. Included in this year's schedule, the Rams will play two NCAA teams from a year ago, as well as compete in the JMU Invitational to open this year's campaign.

After three exhibition contests, Fordham will open its regular season on August 30th at the JMU Invitational in Harrisonburg, Virginia. The Rams begins the tournament with host James Madison, followed by a date with Virginia Tech on September 1st.

Fordham then heads home to Jack Coffey Field for its home opener on September 6th, as the Rams host Yale in the first half of a soccer doubleheader with the women's team. Fordham will also host Stony Brook (Sept. 20) and Columbia (Sept. 29) in non-conference home games.

Besides the JMU Invitational, the Rams have four additional non-conference road games with Fordham taking on NCAA Tournament participant, Northeastern, on September 10th, followed by games at Army (Sept. 14), Temple (Sept. 25), and Manhattan (Oct. 2).

Fordham begins its eight-game Atlantic 10 conference schedule with three straight road games against Saint Louis (Oct. 11), Dayton (Oct. 13), and George Washington (Oct. 20). The Rams also travel to VCU for a November 3rd match-up to round out the road schedule.

At home, Fordham will play host to Massachusetts (Oct. 25), Rhode Island (Oct. 27), La Salle (Nov. 8), and Saint Joseph's (Nov. 10)

In addition to the 17 regular season games, Fordham will have three exhibition contests against Syracuse (Aug. 18 - road), Siena (Aug. 21 - home), and Vermont (Aug. 24 - road).

The Rams will look to return to the Atlantic 10 Championship by season's end. It will be held at Baujan Field in Dayton, Ohio from November 14-17.
