Newport News, Va. - Atlantic 10 Release

Fordham University senior Amy Simidian (Carlstadt, N.J./Henry P. Becton Regional) was named First Team All-Atlantic 10 for women's tennis in a vote by the conference's head coaches it was announced today. It is the second consecutive season that she has earned First Team All-Atlantic 10 honors.

Playing at first singles for the Rams in 2012-2013, Simidian compiled eleven wins, seven in dual matches. She also recorded 13 doubles wins, ten of those coming with Sarah Ali at first doubles.

In 2011-2012, Simidian, who was named the team MVP, played at the number one singles position for the Rams all year, compiling a 22-8 record, leading the team in singles wins. She also was strong in doubles play, going 17-8 on the year, the second most doubles wins on the squad.
