BRONX, N.Y.- It's been quite the year for Erin Rooney and her efforts have garnered her some recognition on the highest national stage.  

Graham Hays of ESPN has named Rooney one of the 10 players in women's college basketball who has risen to the occasion most in 2013-14, an honor well-deserved.

Through 11 games, Rooney is averaging 20.2 points, 8.4 rebounds, and 3.5 assists per game.  In leading the Rams to a 9-2 record, the 2013 First Team All-Atlantic 10 selecetion has converted on 48 percent of her tries from the floor, including 45 percent of her three-point attempts.

Rooney and the Rams will be back in action on Sunday, December 29th, kicking off the Fordham Holiday Classic against UNC Greensboro at 1 PM.
