Fordham's freshman forward Jon Agostino (Mississagua, Ontario/St. Joseph Secondary School) was named Atlantic 10 Men's Soccer Co-Rookie of the Week on Monday, it was announced by the league.  It is the first career honor for Agostino.
 
Agostino scored the only goal of the game in a 1-0 win by Fordham on Wednesday in the annual Battle of the Bronx match with Manhattan College.  After collecting a pass from teammate Tommy Granot, he took on a Manhattan defender at the top of the box, slowly moving toward his right.
 
A second Manhattan defender would move toward Agostino, giving a perfect screen.  He then slipped a shot into the lower right corner of the goal for his second marker of the year.  Agostino leads the Rams with two goals this season.
 
Agostino and the rest of the men's soccer team are back in action on Friday, as the Rams begin Atlantic 10 play this weekend against the Saint Louis Billikens, beginning at 8:30 PM Eastern.
