Cook defended his Metropolitan crown in the mile event at the 2018 Metropolitan Championship, taking first in an IC4A qualifying time of 4:12.50. Then he was a member of the 4x800 relay team that also took first at the Championship in an IC4A qualifying time of 7:44.47.
