Bates was a big part of two outstanding defensive efforts by the women's soccer team against La Salle and Saint Joseph's.  She played over 200 minutes of action as the Fordham defense held some of the league’s best forwards (Kelsey Haycock (LAS), Mo Hawkins (SJU), and Emily Gingrich (SJU) off the scoresheet.  On Sunday, she recorded her first collegiate goal, netting the game-tying goal in a 1-1 tie with Saint Joseph’s.
