Slattery was the men's individual winner at the 2017 Metropolitan Cross Country Championship held last Friday. He clocked in at 25:37.7, which was a personal-best run at Van Cortalndt Park. He is the fourth consecutive Ram to win the individual title, joining Brian Cook in 2016, Jonathan Annelli in 2015, and Quincy O'Connor in 2014.
