Katia Bogomolova

Ekaterina (Katia) Bogomolova, current head pro at the Rochelle Heights Tennis Club, was named assistant women’s tennis coach at Fordham in October of 2021.

She made an immediate impact for the Rams, helping them to the 2022 Atlantic 10 Championship finals and the 2023 Atlantic 10 Championship title, Fordham's first A-10 title in women's tennis.

Last year, Fordham advanced to the Atlantic 10 Championship semifinals for the third straight year.
 
Since 2019, Bogomolova has served as the head pro and vice president of the board at the Rochelle Heights Tennis Club where she manages the adult and junior programs. She also teaches adults and juniors of various levels and runs club tennis and social events.
 
Prior to her position at Rochelle Heights, Bogomolova taught USTA ladies’ practices, junior summer program, private lessons and adult programs of various levels at Life Time Fitness from 2016-202. She instructed junior programs on red, orange, and green levels and built a successful following in cardio tennis classes.
 
From 2012-2016, Bogomolova taught ladies’ clinics, junior summer program, and private lessons at the New York Athletic Club.
 
A 2001 graduate of the University of Miami, Bogomolova led the Hurricanes to two Big East Championships while consistently playing No. 1-3 in singles and No.1-2 in doubles. She was ranked top 100 in singles and top 50 in doubles in NCAA rankings. Bogomolova attended the University of Miami from 1997-2001 on full four-year tennis scholarship at age of sixteen.
 
Before her collegiate career, Bogomolova led Sunset High School to two state championships, while claiming the state singles and doubles titles. She won the USTA Girls’ 16 Easter Bowl and USTA National Doubles titles, while holding a No. 3 national ranking and was ranked No. 2 nationally in Mexico in singles for Girls’ 12 and Under & Girls 14 and Under.
