1999:  Appeared in 39 games last year, starting 35…Started all 35 games behind the plate…Hit .255 (27-106) with three doubles, one home run and 17 RBI…Hit .282 (11-39) with runners in scoring position and .429 with seven RBI with less than two outs and  a runner on third…Went 3-for-5 with a run scored in the pace win (4/29)…Had seven multiple-hit games and five multiple-RBI games.

1998:  Appeared in 12 games, starting six…Started five games behind the plate and one as the designated hitter…Hit .417 (10-24) with a double and two RBI…Had two, two-hit games and one two-RBI game…Went two-for-three against Bradley and two-for-four against C.W. Post (4/13)…Drove in a pair of runs in win over Wagner (4/8).

1997:  Appeared in 12 games, starting three…All three starts were behind the plate…Hit .211 (4-19) with a double and two RBI…Threw out four of five would-be base stealers.

Before Fordham:  Team MVP his senior season...Named to the Second Team All-Star...Played in the senior All-Star Classic at Shea Stadium...Led 1995 squad to the City Championship…Second Team All-Star…Recipient of the Edward Kent Memorial Trophy in 1996...Listed in “Who’s Who Among American High School Students”...Student Council Vice President his senior year…Member of the Optimist Club and of the National Spanish Honor Society.
