Ryan Stach, former assistant athletic trainer at Santa Clara University, was named an assistant athletic trainer at Fordham University in August of 2024. She will be primarily responsible for the men's soccer and swimming & diving programs.

Stach arrives at Fordham after serving as an assistant athletic trainer at Santa Clara the past two years where she worked closely with the men's and women's water polo programs. She developed and implemented shoulder and hip injury prevention programs, including warm-up and cool-down routines, stretching exercises, and strength training and also provided immediate and effective care for acute sports injuries during practices and competitions as well as designed and monitored rehabilitation programs tailored to individual athletes to ensure safe and efficient recovery from injuries.

Prior to her stay at Santa Clara, Stach served as a Second-year Athletic Training Student at Boston University in the spring of 2022 where she worked with the varsity women’s ice hockey, varsity women’s lacrosse, and club men’s rugby programs. She created rehabilitation programs and return to sport progressions and gained experience in evaluating and treating general medicine conditions. She also served as a Second-year Athletic Training Student at Santa Clara in 2021, caring for women’s volleyball, women’s soccer, men’s soccer, and men’s tennis. She assisted with pre-participation physicals, baseline testing, and functional movement screen assessments.

A native of Valley Cottage, N.Y., Stach received a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Kinesiology from the University of Minnesota in 2020 where she was a member of the Golden Gophers’ gymnastic team. She earned a Master’s Degree in Athletic Training from Boston University in 2022.
