Scott Menken joined the Fordham rwong staff in September of 2017 as an assistant coach of the women’s novice program.
 
Menken arrived at Fordham after serving as an assistant coach at Don Bosco Prep in Ramsey, New Jersey, as well as serving as the head rowing coach for the New York Rowing Association in Ridgefield, New Jersey, the past year. At Don Bosco he led the Freshman 4 to a third place showing at the Garden State Scholastic Championship and the junior varsity 4+ to the SRAA National Championships, where Don Bosco had all three boats advance to the national semi-finals.
 
As a member of the New York Rowing Association, Menken helped the U17 4+ to a gold medal at the Philadelphia Youth Championships and a sixth place result at the Canadian Henley Regatta.
 
A 2016 honors graduate of the University of Delaware with a degree in exercise science and a minor in coaching science, Menken was a member of the Blue Hens’ lightweight team from 2012-2016. During his time as a student-athlete he amassed a winning dual record against EARC schools such as Harvard, Penn, and Georgetown as well as being a member of the first Delaware lightweight 8 in history to make the grand final of the heavyweight 8 at the ACRA national championships.
 
Menken also competed with the New York Athletic Club in the summer of 2015, earning a silver medal in the lightweight 8+ at the USRowing Club Nationals as well as being a finalists in the lightweight 8 at the Canadian Henley.
