Lee Roman enters her second year coaching for the Fordham University rowing squad, after joining the staff in September of 2011.
During the 2012 season, Roman developed the Varsity Women' 4+ and the Women's Novice 8+.
From 2007 through 2010, Roman coached at the Institute of Notre Dame where her Novice Women medaled at the 2010 Maryland State Championships. Lee coached the Novice Men and Novice Women at Annapolis Junior Rowing Association from 2008 through 2009. Her Novices assisted in claiming the Honeywell Cup, the team points trophy, at the Baltimore Championships in 2009.
Roman coached the University of Maryland, College Park's Varsity Women from 2009 through 2011, and they medaled at the 2011 Mid-Atlantic Collegiate Crew Championships. From Fall 2010 through Spring 2011, Roman coached the Varsity Women at Langley High School. Roman also coached the Varsity Men at Row New York, Manhattan after transitioning from New York Rowing Association from August 2011 through August 2012. During that time she developed the Varsity Men's 4+. Currently, Roman also serves as an Assistant Men's Coach for Pelham Community Rowing Association.
Roman coxed for the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC) team from 2003 to 2007. Every summer since 2004, she coxed for Annapolis Rowing Club, and medaled at the 2007, 2009, 2010, and 2011 USRowing Masters National Championships. In the 2010 FISA World Masters Regatta held in St. Catharine's, Canada, Roman claimed the titles for Women's D4+ with Annapolis and Mixed B8+, a composite shell between Potomac Boat Club and Annapolis.
Since 2009, Roman has coxed at the Head of the Charles for Baltimore Rowing Club, Annapolis Rowing Club, and the New York Athletic Club. In Summer 2012, Roman coxed the New York Athletic Club lightweight and heavyweight men's fours at the Independence Day Regatta and Club Nationals, respectively.
