Rebecca Gronsdahl, former Rowing Operations Manager/Director of Community Rowing for Row New York, was named head rowing coach at Fordham University in September of 2021.

Gronsdahl arrives at Rose Hill after serving for two years at Row New York where she was the Rowing Operations Manager and Director of Community Rowing. She provided leadership and oversight of the community rowing and fee for service rowing programs including adaptive rowing, veterans rowing, Scholastic Rowing League and learn to row summer camps. Gronsdahl also planned for staffing needs, assisted with recruiting and hiring, and trained coaches to execute community and fee for service programming with the highest level of safety, program quality, effectiveness and professionalism. She also supervise part-time coaches and staff, including adaptive assistant coaches, Scholastic Rowing
League coaches, and part time operations staff.

Prior to year stint with Row New York, Gronsdahl served as an assistant coach at her alma mater, the University of California Santa Barbara from 2017-2019, serving as the Interim Head Coach from November 2018-February 2019. She assisted the head women’s coach in program needs, supporting a team of 30+ novice rowers.

A 2017 graduate of the University of California Santa Barbara with a degree in Environmental Studies, Gronsdahl was a four-year member of the Gauchos crew where she won multiple regional titles along with one national title. She is currently pursuing a master’s degree in sports coaching leadership at Drexel University.
