    Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach

Joining the Ramily with over 10 years of experience at the Division I level, Tommy King was named as the Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach for the women’s basketball program in August of 2025. 

King has spent the past 11 years as the Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach at his alma mater, Morgan State University, where he worked primarily with the women’s basketball team, in addition to numerous other sports for the Morgan State athletic department. All of King’s teams achieved on the field of play, with women’s basketball finishing top three in the conference five times in the last eight years, and saw its first regular season championship with King on staff in 2022.

Also serving two stints as Interim Director of Strength and Conditioning, King managed the day to day operations of the department, and worked closely with his student-athletes on conditioning, rehabilitation, and nutrition, helping implement new ideas and innovative sports science technology to get the most out of athletes’ performances.

A graduate of Morgan State University with a Bachelor’s in Physical Education in 2012, King stayed at Morgan State for his Master’s of Business Administration in 2015.
