Dionne Dodson, a former assistant women's basketball coach at Manhattan College, begins her second year as a member of head coach Cathy Andruzzi's staff.

"Dionne is an outstanding addition to our team after being a member of Myndi Hill's coaching staff that help rebuild Manhattan College," said Andruzzi. "She has a keen eye for talent and has strong recruiting ties in the Ohio region which we look to plant a footprint. Her energy and high expectations along with her experience and attention to detail will be an asset as we build our program."

Dodson arrived at Fordham after serving as an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator at Manhattan for the past three years, where her duties included coordination of the entire recruiting system, assisting with scouting and tape breakdown and on-floor coaching and organizing summer camps. She helped recruit three players who earned Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) All-Rookie honors, two in 2004 and one in 2005.

Prior to her stint at Manhattan, Dodson was an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator at Coastal Carolina University in 2002-03. Her responsibilities at Coastal Carolina included coordination of the entire recruiting system, assisting with scouting and on-floor coaching.

Dodson received her start in coaching at Saint Francis University in Loretto, Pennsylvania where she served as an assistant coach from 1999-2002, helping the Red Flash win the 2000 and 2002 Northeast Conference (NEC) regular season and tournament championships and advance to the NCAA Tournament. She also helped recruit the 2002 NEC Tournament MVP while also being responsible for developing and monitoring the strength and conditioning program as well as monitoring the academic progress of the student-athletes. She also assisted with on-floor coaching and with scouting as well as organizing community service activities.

A 1997 graduate of Muskingum College in New Concord, Ohio, Dodson received a Bachelors degree in Psychology from the school before going on to earn a Masters degree in Sports Management from Slippery Rock University in 2003.
