Jofre Segarra, a four-year member of the Fordham men’s tennis team, was named an assistant strength and conditioning coach at Fordham in October of 2022.
Segarra served as a volunteer coach with the Fordham strength and conditioning program from May-October of 2022 where he programmed for the first-year athletes within the varsity football team, led the first-year group of athletes through their separate and personalized training program, and assisted with other teams such as men’s and women's basketball through their summer training.
From January through May of 2022, Segarra was an intern with the Fordham strength and conditioning program, where he led varsity teams through their warmups and strength sessions and worked with different athletes around their deficiencies or needs to improve their performance.
Segarra received a bachelor’s degree in information systems from Fordham’s Gabelli School of Business in May of 2022 with minors in business law and ethics, and mathematics. He was a four-year member of the men’s tennis team, serving as a team captain as a senior.
