Vesselina Jeliazkova, a current member of the tennis staff at the Saw Mill Club in Mt. Kisco, New York, begins her third year at Fordham, after being named head women's tennis coach on January 29, 2007.

Jeliazkova, who currently serves as a tennis instructor at the Saw Mill Club, is a 2002 cum laude graduate of Northern Michigan University where she received a degree in Psychology with a minor in Coaching. She was a member of women's tennis team from 2000-2002, winning a Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Tennis Championship in 2001 while being named to the GLIAC All-Conference team in 2000 and 2001.

In 2002, Jeliazkova received the GLIAC Academic Award while also leading the Northern Michigan team to a national top-25 ranking and the NCAA Division II National Championships as the number one singles player. She also was a member of the Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) and was named to the Dean's List every semester.

Following graduation, Jeliazkova served as a graduate assistant in the Health, Education and Recreation Department at Northern Michigan, serving as a Kinesiology and Psychology lab instructor, while also serving as a coach for the Wildcat women's tennis program from 2001-03. She received a Master's Degree in Exercise Science in 2004. On the national level, Jeliazkova was an ITA Rolex Tournament Doubles finalist in 2000. Jeliazkova started her collegiate career at Kansas State University in 1999, where she was a member of the women's tennis team, prior to transferring to Northern Michigan.

A native of Sofia, Bulgaria, Jeliazkova worked as a tennis instructor with the Athletic Club of Iraclion in Iraclion, Greece during the summer from 1995-1997 and with the tennis Club "Academic" in her hometown during the summer from 1998-2000.
