Max Darrington was named a student assistant men's tennis coach at Fordham in September of 2019. He comes to Fordham after a playing career at Marist College where he earned All-MAAC Second Team Doubles honors as a senior in 2018-2019. He was also a four-time member of the All-MAAC Academic Team.

A 2019 Marist graduate, Darrington earned his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a concentration in finance and accounting.

While a student at Marist Darrington served as professional hitter at the Queens Club of England, one of 15 performance hitters assigned to hit with professional players in the ATP 500 event. He hit was such players as Lleyton Hewitt and Stefan Kozlov before joining Team Hewitt for the reminder of the tournament.

Darrington also served as a performance coach at Culford School in the summer of 2017, leading the U18s boys to the British National School Championship.

In the summer of 2018, Darrington served as a summer financial analyst with Barclays Investment Bank, performing two five-week rotations within the finance department.
