Biography

As a Grad Student (2024-25 at Michigan)
• Played in five games: all off the bench
• Returned using the NCAA COVID-19 extra eligibility waver
• Elected to (medically) redshirt the season following injury (knee)
• Scored a season-best four points against Western Kentucky (Dec. 29)
• Grabbed a season-best three rebounds against Western Kentucky
• Played a season-best eight minutes against Purdue Fort Wayne (Dec. 22)
• Michigan won 27 games, claim the Big Ten Tournament title, and earn a no. 5 seed in the NCAA Tournament.
 
As a Senior (2023-24 at Michigan)
• Played in 10 games: all off the bench
• Missed first 15 games due to stress fracture in right knee/tibia
• Returned against Ohio State (Jan. 15): grabbed three rebounds
• Missed an additional five games due to illness
• Returned to Northwestern (Feb. 22): scored five points
• Averaged 2.6 points and 1.8 rebounds
• Scored a career-best eight points against Purdue (Feb. 25)

• Had a career-high-tying one block, (2x): at Illinois and Rutgers (Feb. 23)

As a Freshman (2020-21 at Michigan)

• Made collegiate debut against Ball State (Dec. 2); played three minutes

Before College
• After beginning prep career at Gulliver Prep (Miami, Florida), transferred to University School under former Wolverine Ron Oliver (1995-98)
• Helped University School capture the FHSSA Class 5A State Championship (2019)
• As a senior (2019-20), averaged 10.8 points, 6.3 rebounds and 2.5 assists, leading the Sharks to a 19-7 record and the FHSSA Class 4A regional semifinal; posted 15 double-figure scoring games with a career-high 21 against Deerfield Beach (Dec. 21) -- first career 20-plus point game; postseason was canceled following the global coronavirus pandemic
• As a junior (2018-19), averaged 5.5 points and 4.2 rebounds, leading the Sharks to a 27-5 record, a final No. 27 national prep ranking after winning the FHSSA Class 5A State championship; missed eight weeks of the season after fracturing tibia; scored 19 points (Vashon) and nine points (City of Palms) in the City of Palms Tournament
• As a sophomore (2017-18), averaged 7.2 points, 7.8 rebounds and 1.1 assists, leading the Raiders to a 19-12 record; posted nine double-figure scoring games with a season-best 15, twice -- Sagemont (Jan 18) and Sports Leadership Academy (Jan. 30)
• Played AAU with Mac Irvin Fire (Chicago, Illinois) on Nike EYBL Circuit in 2019, averaging 6.4 points and 3.4 rebounds, while shooting 52.9 percent from the field
• Played AAU with Florida Lightning on Under Armor Association in 2018, averaging 9.2 points per game
 
Personal
• Began his Michigan career in 2020-21 under his father, “Fab Five” legend and current Brooklyn Nets Assistant Coach Juwan Howard.
• Played one season at Michigan with his brother, Jett, who is now a member of the Orlando Magic.
