Biography

A two-year starter at center and is expected to remain the starter in 2011... appeared in ten games as a junior, starting nine... started all eleven games on the offensive line in 2009, the final ten at center after Robby Reis was lost due to injury... replaced Jordan Bledsoe, who moved to the defensive line, at left guard for the first game of 2009... helped the Fordham offense set a school record for total offense in a season in 2009 while leading the NCAA FCS in total yards per game (488.82)... will continue to provide experience and leadership on the line... saw action in four games as a freshman... one of five Staten Island natives on the roster.

2010: Appeared in ten games as a junior for the Rams, starting nine at center... helped the offense average 176.0 rushing yards per game, second in the Patriot League and 31st in the NCAA FBS... Fordham offense was also ranked second in overall offense in the Patriot League (383.5 yards/game)... offensive line also allowed just 16 sacks in eleven games, third best in the Patriot League.

2009: Started all eleven games as a sophomore, the final ten at center... a cog on the offensive line that helped the Rams set the school record for total offense in a season, amassing 5,377 yards, eclipsing the former record of 4,995 yards set by the 2002 team... the Rams led the NCAA FCS in total offense (488.82 yards/game) and were second in passing offense (337.09 yards/game) and tied for second in first downs per game (23.64)... also protected quarterback John Skelton, who set single season and career marks for most completions, most passing yards and most passing touchdowns.

2008: Appeared in four games on the offensive line as a freshman.

Before Fordham: A graduate of St. Joseph by the Sea High School on Staten Island, where he earned varsity letters in football and track and field... an All-State, All-City and All-League selection... 2007 Second Team All-State... a 2007 New York Daily News All-Star... selected to play in the 2008 Outback Steakhouse Bowl and the 2008 Governor[apos]s Bowl... also earned All-Borough and Staten Island Advance All-Star honors... three-year team captain... a Catholic High School Football League All-Star... holds the shot put and javelin relay records in track and field... named to the Honor Roll as a junior.

Personal: Born March 26, 1990... son of Emily and Philip Sheridan... has a younger brother (Christian) and a younger sister (Allyssa)... a Biology major.
