Tom Claro, a former All-American at Holy Cross, starts his second year as member of the Fordham University football coaching staff, after joining the Rams in the summer of 2007. He will serve as a tight ends coach and assistant offensive line coach this fall.
Claro brings a wealth of high school coaching experience in the New York City area to Rose Hill. He served as the offensive coordinator/offensive line coach at Xavier High School in New York, N.Y., from 2001-03 and as the offensive line coach at his alma mater, Chaminade High School, in Mineola, N. Y. from 1997-2001.
A 1996 graduate of the College of the Holy Cross, Claro was named a First Team Associated Press I-AA All-American as a senior in 1995. He also was a First Team All-New England selection as a senior and was a three-time First Team All-Patriot League lineman (1993, 1994 and 1995).
Following graduation, Claro was a member of three NFL teams (Jacksonville Jaguars, New England Patriots and Arizona Cardinals) and played for the Barcelona Dragons of NFL Europe.
A 2003 Brooklyn Law School graduate, Claro practices law in New York, N.Y.
