Michael Lombardi, a senior in the College of Business Administration, enters his fourth year as a Student Assistant Coach with the Fordham football staff. Lombardi is a graduate of Saint Mary's College High School in Berkeley, California, where he lettered in football and golf and was also a member of the baseball squad. He served as the football team captain in 2006 and was named the golf team's Most Valuable Player in 2007. Lombardi is no stranger to professional football as his father, Michael, spent eight years in the Oakland Raiders organization, the last three as the senior personnel executive. The elder Lombardi, who currently contributes professional football columns for cnnsi.com, also worked for the Philadelphia Eagles, Cleveland Browns and San Francisco 49ers.
