Former Division I goaltender Jordan Barbach begins his second season on the Fordham men's soccer staff, after one year on the SUNY Maritime staff.
In his first season at Fordham, Barbach had the task of coaching a number of young, inexperienced goalkeepers in 2015. By season's end, Rashid Nuhu and Dan Miklos, both freshmen, did not play like freshmen. Nuhu was selected to the Atlantic 10 All-Rookie Team, posting six shutouts, while Miklos had a sub-1.00 goals against average and an .850 save percentage.
At Maritime, Barbach helped lead the team to a 9-8-1 overall record including wins five Skyline Conference wins as the team earned the three seed in the Skyline Conference Tournament. At the conclusion of the season, he helped goalkeeper Karl Weber earn recognition as an All-Conference Second Team selection.

The three-season member of the Northeastern Huskies men’s soccer program brings a strong goaltending presence, as he will primarily focus on working with the goalkeepers.

Prior to Maritime, Barbach served in a similar coaching position at the United States Merchant Marine Academy during the 2012 season where he helped Stephen Fucito to a 1.37 goals against average while earning seven victories and four clean sheets for the Mariners.

In addition to his time in Kings Point, Barbach also coached with the Great Neck Soccer Club as both a trainer and coach for teams that range from U9 through U19. He helped guide his U-17 boys team to the club's first-ever ENYPL appearance.

In addition to his coaching history, he has held numerous positions in the fitness field including his time as the Assistant Strength & Conditioning Coach at Maritime. He has also worked in the music industry with several positions as well.

Barbach earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Music Industry in December of 2010, and his currently pursuing his Master’s Degree for Teachers in Biology from Pace University in New York City. The Great Neck, New York native currently resides in Astoria, Queens.
