A former assistant coach at Manhattanville College, Joe Mandile begins his third year at Fordham as a volunteer assistant coach.
Mandile spent two seasons on the Manhattanville staff from 2007-08. In 2007, he was a part of the Skyline Conference Coaching Staff of the Year under head coach Jeff Caulfield, leading Manhattanville to the Skyline Conference Championship and a berth in the NCAA Division III Regionals.
In 2008, Mandile was the third base coach and as well as the hitting and infield coach, as Manhattanville won the Freedom Conference Regular Season Championship. Under his tutelage, the Valiants ranked 20th in the nation in team batting average.
Most recently, Mandile has coached baseball at Regis High School in 2010.
Prior to coaching, Mandile was a three-year baseball player at Sacred Heart University (2002-04), and later joined the Bay Area Toros of the Continental Baseball League in Houston, Texas, where he was a utility infielder/outfielder for two seasons (2007-08).
