Smithfield, R.I. – The Fordham volleyball team opened play at the 2026 Bryant Invitational on Friday with a 3-1 loss to Marist at the Chace Athletic Center.

With the loss, Fordham falls to 4-4 while Marist improves to 3-6.

The Rams took the first set, 25-21 before the Red Foxes came back to take the next three 25-18, 25-13, and 25-13.

Junior
Sophia Kuyn led the Rams with ten kills, hitting at a .350 clip, while freshman
Giada Ianuale added 30 assists and seven digs. Defensively, senior Tatum Holdereid finished with two solo block s and five block assists.

The Rams continue play at the Bryant Invitational on Saturday, taking on Merrimack at 12:30 p.m. and then the host school, Bryant, at 4:00 p.m.
