Fordham University Athletics

Bronx, N.Y. – (May 10, 2026) – Saint Louis' Hank Gomric and Chase Beattie each hit a home run and drove in three runs, as the Billikens spoiled a comeback effort from the Fordham Rams, 7-6, on Senior Day at Houlihan Park.
 
THE GAME

• Saint Louis got out to a big lead in the first, scoring five runs which included a three-run home run by Chase Beattie.
• Fordham pulled within three with single runs in the first and third innings, scoring on a sacrifice fly by Joey Donnelly and a solo home run by Tommy McAndrews, making it 5-2.
• Hank Gomric made it 6-2 in favor of Saint Louis with a solo home run in the fifth inning.
• Fordham then pulled even with two runs in the seventh and eighth innings at 6-6, highlighted by an RBI-double by Madden Ocko and a sacrifice fly by Caden Young.
• The Billikens though would regain the lead in the ninth inning on a sacrifice fly by Gomric.
• Dylan Gormont held Fordham at bay in the ninth to record the Saint Louis win.

 
GAME NOTES

• McAndrews finished 3-for-4 with a home run and two run scored.It was his 13^th home run of the season and 29^th of his career, which puts him in fourth place on both the single season and career home run lists at Fordham.
• Taylor Kirk also had two hits and a run scored in the game.
• Robbie Stewart (5-5) took the loss, allowing one run on one hit over three innings of relief with three strikeouts.
• The Rams honored its three senior student-athletes – Ryan Egan, Aric Berg, and Tommy McAndrews – prior to the game.
