HOW IT HAPPENED
- Trailing 5-2 entering the seventh, Nikki Sudall opened the inning getting hit by a pitch and pinch runner Aubrey Zvovushe-Ramos moved to third on an Eva Koratsis single.
- Two outs later, Koratsis moved to second on a wild pitch before both runners scored on a Victoria Klimaszewski double, her second hit and third RBI of the game.
- But Klimaszewski was stranded at second when Neleh Nogay flied out to end the game.
- Fordham got on the board first as Koratsis led off the second with a double and came around to score later in the inning on a Klimaszewski single.
- Rhode Island took a 5-1 lead in the top of the fifth on an RBI single from Kylie Bulinski followed by a two-run single from Becca Zawistowski before the visiting Rams scored a pair of unearned runs on a Fordham error.
- After a more than two hour rain delay, Mikayla Swan made it a 5-2 game for Fordham with an RBI single in the sixth, plating Klimaszewski who opened the inning with a walk.
