Brooklyn, N.Y. – As they say in softball parlance, Fordham senior shortstop
Kate McGuire had a day today, going 3-for-3 at the plate with two doubles and four RBI to lead the Rams to a 7-2 win over LIU at the LIU Softball Complex.

Victoria Klimaszewski threw the final 4 1/3 innings, allowing just three hits and striking out three to pick up the win in the circle for Fordham who improves to 19-24 on the year.

How It Happened
- The Rams loaded the bases in the top of the first on a single wand two walks before McGuire cleared the bases with a double to right center to put Fordham up 3-0.
- The Sharks got one back in the bottom of the first before Fordham picked up one in the fourth as Sadira Forcucci walked with one out, moved to third on a Eva Koratsis double, and scored on a McGuire single.
- LIU cut the Fordham lead to two in the bottom of the frame with a solo home run.
- The game remained a 4-2 contest until Chloe Trimandilis singled home McGuire, who doubled with one out, in the fifth.
- The Rams picked up two more in the sixth on a Trimandilis RBI single and a Mikayla Swan bases loaded walk.
Notes
- Neleh Nogay was 3-for-5 in the game with her 30th stolen base of the year.
- McGuire reached base in all four plate appearances, walking in her fourth at bat.
- McGuire's two doubles brings her to a team- best 14 on the year.
- Chloe Trimandilis was 2-for-3 3 with two RBI.
- Victoria Klimaszewski retired eight straight batters from fourth the until the seventh, allowing just one runner to advance to third.
